Masked Journey values your privacy and is designed to protect your anonymity. This policy explains how we handle your information and what steps you should take to stay secure.

1. Anonymity

  • When using Masked Journey, you create an alias and do not share your real name or identifying information.
  • Peer listeners also remain anonymous and wear virtual masks during sessions.
  • While we take steps to protect your identity, maintaining full anonymity is your responsibility, including but not limited to: using a secure email address, using trusted devices, and using payment methods that do not reveal personal details.

2. Information We Collect

  • Masked Journey collects only the minimal information necessary to operate the platform, including but not limited to the alias you create, session booking and payment details, and basic technical data such as browser type, device, and connection information.
  • We do not collect personally identifying information beyond what is necessary for payments.

3. Sessions & Recording

  • Masked Journey does not record or store any session content unless explicit consent is requested from a client for permission to record a session. Such consent is provided verbally at the start of the session to preserve anonymity. For example: “I am [Alias], and I consent to this session being recorded for [purpose, e.g., internal review, marketing, or training].”
  • Consent is always limited to that specific session and does not apply to future sessions. Clients may withdraw consent at any time during the recording, in which case the recording will be immediately stopped and deleted.
  • Listeners are strictly prohibited from recording sessions without proper consent. Any listener who violates this policy will be permanently removed from the platform. However, Masked Journey cannot provide financial compensation beyond a refund for the affected session.
  • Clients may record and keep a copy of their own individual sessions for personal use only.
  • Recording of group sessions by participants without the consent of others is prohibited. While Masked Journey does not and cannot prevent unauthorized recordings by participants, clients who choose to join group sessions do so at their own risk and with the understanding that absolute privacy cannot be guaranteed in a group environment.

4. How We Use Your Information

5. Security

  • Masked Journey takes reasonable steps to protect your data and anonymity.
  • Complete security cannot be guaranteed.
  • Users are responsible for maintaining their own privacy and security, including their devices, accounts, and alias.
  • Using the platform is at your own risk.

6. Sharing Information

  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your data.
  • Anonymized or aggregated data may be used to improve the platform or for research purposes.
  • We may disclose information if required by law or to protect users’ safety.

7. Cookies and Tracking

  • Minimal cookies may be used to improve platform functionality.
  • Cookies do not collect personally identifying information.

8. Third-Party Services

  • Masked Journey uses trusted third-party services to facilitate video calls and payment processing.

  • These providers operate independently and have their own privacy and data protection practices.

  • Masked Journey does not control or manage the security measures of these external platforms and cannot be held responsible for any data breaches, technical failures, or unauthorized access that occur on their systems.

  • Users are encouraged to review the privacy policies of the relevant video call and payment service providers before use.

9. Age Claus

  • Masked Journey is not intended for users under 18.
  • We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

  • We may update this policy occasionally.
  • Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.
